About Us

Syreeta Miller, LPC

One of our deepest longings is to be heard. Let me listen.

Throughout life, we develop experiences and beliefs that measure how much value we place on family, friends, marriage, education, and our careers. We forget to take inventory of our needs and lose sight of what is important to us. When we forget how to love ourselves or our loved ones, things like misunderstandings, negative emotions, isolation, and feelings of helplessness pressure us to hide in our shells.

My goal is to meet you where you are. To understand your environment and help navigate your struggles and improve your living. I want to empower you with tools that will assist you in your life and encourage you to live a life filled with purpose and understanding. I would like to offer you a safe space to share your innermost thoughts, and I invite you to join me on this road to healing and growth.

One step at a time, that’s all I ask of you. One step towards the journey to break free of the stressors, mental illness, and addictions that can plague our lives.

About Us

Kenchell Smith, LPC-Associate; Supervised by Dr. Dione Simmons, LPC-S

Life is not always easy. Navigating and building healthy relationships, finding balance and peace, letting go, regaining strength and motivation, being accountable and making better choices all require you to be dedicated and consistent.  I am a considerate, caring, non-judgmental person who believes that while you are on your journey, you deserve someone that can help you discover and implement tools and perspectives.

I hold my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and am in the process of my LPC-Associate. My education prepares me to work with individuals, families, couples, and groups
counseling. My approach to counseling will focus on person-centered, cognitive behavior, reality, and solution-focused therapy.
Person-centered therapy helps the client learn how to facilitate change in their lives, while providing empathy and positivity.
Cognitive therapy helps the client evaluate how their thinking influences their behavior, and helps them identify new behaviors to
emulate. Reality therapy helps the client learn realistic and responsible action. Solution-focused therapy helps the client learn ways
to not just talk about their problems, but also to give them solutions.

I am Brian A. Hicks, Licensed Professional Counselor – Associate (LPC-Associate). I am passionate about working with individuals to navigate their personal and professional goals, and the challenges that come with those initiatives. Life is not a straight line; it is filled with ups and downs, lefts and rights. I want to help all individuals build a roadmap to success, no matter where that is at in their journey of life, and what that success is for them. I value and vow to help all individuals, regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, or gender. I want to be a positive change agent in people’s lives and believe in individualized success plans tailored to meet individual needs.

My direct educational and professional experiences have provided insight into the challenges, problems, and issues that individuals face during an ever-evolving society with various generational and societal influences. Working with individuals from many cultures and backgrounds has impacted my ability to adapt to individual needs, while tailoring individualized success plans to those needs. My background includes personal and career counseling, with a focus on multicultural counseling competency.

I have a strong dedication to being a life-long learner. I hold a Ph.D. in Counselor Education & Supervision from Texas Tech University and a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from Tarleton State University. About Us

Dawn Dillon, LPC-Associate; Supervised by Dr. Dione Simmons, LPC-S

Hi, I’m Dawn R. Dillon, Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate. From as far back as I can remember, I have always been passionate about helping people. So I made the decision to obtain a degree in counseling, but many obstacles occurred throughout the process! One thing that l have learned on this journey called life is, NO one is exempt from different challenges, some big and some small! As your clinician, l will aim to do my best to help you along your journey! Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy are the modalities that l utilize most! These therapeutic techniques, approaches, or processes will help treat and improve patients' psychological, emotional, and social well-being. With these therapies l will tailor them individually depending on what problems exist. I’m a very hard working, self motivated, ethical, and empathetic counselor who will work diligently to assist clients with their mental health struggles! As l work together with a team of therapists , and my supervisor, we will work together to help clients have the care needed for success.

About Us

Kelsey Lewis, Student; Supervised by Dr. Dione Simmons, LPC-S

Counseling is an opportunity to manage and work through specific issues. I support clients using Person-Centered Therapy and Humanistic techniques to heal them from their past, engage with the present, and work toward a consistently healthy future. Focusing on providing nonjudgmental, empathetic services, I use traditional and nontraditional therapeutic approaches to help my clients gain a deeper understanding of who they are, what they desire or need, and where they are going in life. When we have greater awareness of ourselves and relationships, we can gain greater belonging and significance that will lead to personal growth. Through our therapeutic relationship, we can collaborate to create realistic steps to achieve life goals.

I am in the final year of my program at Southwestern Assemblies of God University, where I am pursuing my Clinical Mental Health Counseling Master of Science degree. My education has prepared me to work with individuals dealing with various issues, such as depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, and other life transitions and difficulties.
